This baby is AMAZING. It took me a while to get a solid spark to start the fire as I've only used large signal rods in the past. Make sure you check it out and know how to use it before heading to Innwoods. My thumb hurt quite a bit the first time I tried it. Remember I used super dry tinder/bark. It's not the easiest of fire starters if you only have a few sticks, but it's SUPER handy when you put it down. The fact that it's also a lightweight hanging carabiner is also a plus, as if you're missing out. You will also receive several replacement sticks. Good. I think for general fire-making purposes this can be a problem unless you're using pyro-dough or something (or looking like a bad ass in the wild), but if we're talking about lighting a kiln of its perfect size and its light weight. This is a nice secondary detail to add to a toolbox. I don't think I would use it as a primary fire starter.
