I thought the machine was more modern. The volume is of poor quality - I can get up to 10 and at times I can barely understand the spoken words. If I didn't need the car I would return it for my own money. He had a Lanier Dictaphone, which was an A. It was meant to replace that wonderful car, but it's nowhere near. The foot pedals are constantly moving and I have to manipulate them all the time to pedal.
