I bought this for my textiles class when I ran out of my first spool of nylon string rather quickly. The 1lb appealed to me, and I was convinced I wouldn't have to buy another spool during the semester I'd I Just invested in more, so I did.The string is a bit thin, and initially, this made me question if I'd like it; however, it does a great job for what I need it! Not only do my arashi shibori pieces look amazing (nylon string creates great resist), but I actually PREFER the dimensions of this string. I feel that I have slightly more control using this than the string I had been using previously. Not to mention for the pieces of nylon string I can't salvage, there is much less throw away after a project than before with the thicker nylon string I've mentioned.This nylon string is sturdy and I highly recommend it to anyone, especially any textiles artists looking to create precise tight resists in their work!For the price this is an excellent deal. I don't think you'd be able to find this much nylon string at this price in most other places.Hope this is helpful! :)
