Heavy Duty Recording Cabinet Lift

I needed a gas spring for a recording cabinet I was remodeling. I decided to build a lift for the stereo receiver so it can be lifted and locked when not in use. I only needed one of the spacers because it had enough pressure to lift up. I wish I could just buy one instead of two but that wasn't an option. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and it did what I needed.
