Night vision works well, installation was painless. Doesn't come with hard drive, and the manual and the listing states to use a 3.5 drive, the problem is the mounts in the case are for a 2.5 drive. I 3d printed a bracket to fix that problem. The mounting screws that came with it are junk, buy some #8 construction screws to mount the camera with, and use a 1 inch paddle bit if you want it cover the wires with the base(I don't like exposed wires). If you want to use the browser interface on your home network, I hope you have an old computer that still runs internet explorer and not edge or chrome. trying to log into it via anything except ie6 or lower will just redirect you to the active x control download that does not work with edge, mozilla, or chrome. The app seems to work fine though, could have more administrative options though. I installed my dvr in a cabinet and it is not easily accessed for security reasons, so not having a good browser interface is a bit of a pain for me.
