Don't stretch them too much or they will break. My hair can be wrapped around the ponytail two or even three times if I'm very careful. For skinny ones, this means I have a loose ponytail that may need to be redone during the day, which is good for me when I'm running errands and for my daughter during rehearsals. Thick, although they only go twice, provide a secure hold when needed. As long as you know this in advance, they won't all break, as other reviewers point out. I wore two thick ones to pull my hair up from the side like at a recent wedding. lasts super 10 hours and a lot of dancing. Both thin and thick tires run the risk of breaking the tail if rotated more than twice. So be careful. However, you can double if necessary. Wrap two swoosh markers twice around my hair and my ponytail will survive the hurricane. A pack lasts forever. Yes, of course, breakage is inevitable with regular use. But there are 36 in a pack. that's MUCH good. Every Christmas I buy these for our stockings (one for my daughter, one for myself) and we have enough to last most of the year! Yes, my house, my wallet, my car and my life are littered with these hair ties. But for the price, quality and quantity I wouldn't buy any other brand.
