Time for history! The toothpaste itself helps to clean the plaque and effectively keeps the plaque. I got lazy and didn't brush my dog's teeth for a week and a half. Of course his breath stank and he got plaque. I usually brush his teeth once or twice a day. After 2 cleanings, 90% of the plaque was soft enough to be removed with fingernails. The rest needed a few more brushes, but that's holding the bad dog's breath away! Most people assume that dogs naturally have bad breath, but when you smell yo-yos and any dog that brushes regularly, it actually smells neutral! Also, Jojo likes the taste! After my dog brushes his teeth, he licks the leftovers off his toothbrush! I occasionally brush my roommate's cat's teeth and it helps with bad cat smell too! Bubbles doesn't like the toothbrush, but he likes the taste of the bird.
