This mount works very well and supports my 15 inch Acer Triton 500 very well. Upgrade the VESA 100 arm (and does include a VESA 100 plate) but a thumbscrew quick release is used to replace the plates so I'm not complaining about the potential added utility. I wouldn't like that in a monitor arm, but for a laptop that's still in use despite being set up as a desktop, it's really nice to be able to swivel it towards and away from me easily. Cutouts on the side supports for port access. However, you cannot adjust the position of these holes, so some ports (like my laptop's ethernet) are blocked. I had to add some 2mm washers to the tray so I can use the Thunderbolt 3 port. Your mileage may vary, but SOME ports will be blocked, so have some washers handy. The side prongs hold the laptop tight enough that I could probably remove the standoffs and not move it, but I don't want to risk it slipping and putting pressure on the cables.
