So my son says he needs a plane that flies out of his hands.flies through the sky.and then lands back in his hands. It was the best I could think of. It was close enough to what he thought to make him happy on his birthday. The drone's gesture controls are a bit tricky to master (but it's impressive that a toy can do so much without a remote control), but a child should still be able to turn it on and off (the button you hold down). have it take off (periodically tossing it in the air will work, but more consistently it will be launched by a double wave over the top of the drone) and eventually caught (flying about five feet in the air for it to grab it can and turn it upside down to spread that it stops spinning). I had to return a block because one of the propellers stopped turning. after the first day of use, but the replacement lasted longer. Not sure what I'm expecting for $30 but maybe play a week before going broke? I would buy it again for my 3 year old if he asks for it in the future.
