Bought to do some initial wood carving (simple shapes/letter boards/small cut outs) and had nothing but problems. The design software they offer works well but has very limited features. However, the real problem lies in the (open source) Candle software and getting the project up and running without any problems. As a result of numerous attempts, the software gives an error in the middle of the project and there is no way to continue the cut from the last point where the error occurred, so you have to start over (zeroing the axis in the same place). is a big problem and ruins the alignment of what you do). Cuts that finish without a hitch are uneven and rough at best. This happens regardless of the bit used. I ordered a standalone controller and it didn't work with the machine right away. Overall I thought it would be a great CNC wood carving machine but found that the machine didn't work properly in combination with the software that came with it. I'm disappointed and am returning the machine so I can count on a more reliable machine that has software integration with design software that is reliable and works as intended. Be smart before you buy and if you decide to try this machine I hope that you will have a better experience and much more success than I did.
