Works great! I put the pellets on top and they sink on their own and that prevents other fish from eating them. I tilt the bowl down so that as the granules come out they slide to the opposite side of the bowl. I used to leave too much space between the plate and the tube and the frog swam towards it so I tilt it like in the picture. African Dwarf Frogs are nocturnal but ours sometimes sits in its bowl in the morning when I feed it. Now I can actually see him eating and I'm not worried about him (I assume he is, I never checked). The only downside is that it seems incredibly fragile, but I haven't broken it yet. If I do that, it won't be so expensive that it would stink to replace it. It's easy to clean if you have long aquarium tweezers that you can thread a paper towel through. Super glad I bought it. Our frog went into hiding for a few weeks after we bought him, but now he's not home all the time.
