Atomic time is the way!

A few months ago I bought a basic LED wall clock (not this one) and was disgusted to find that it was about 2 minutes behind every month. I had to get up on a stool every 2 weeks to reset the time. Very uncomfortable. And apparently modern (cheap) clocks don't have the ability to adjust the speed of their movement. Grrr! Now I know I should have bought that "atomic clock". If this watch works as advertised, I will be very satisfied. I've only had it for about 1 week so I can't report on the accuracy yet. The display says it's receiving a radio signal, so I think everything will be fine. It seems to need AC power for this, except for brief periods when you lose power. Therefore, you have to put up with the cable running down the wall when using it as a wall clock. The cable is small and black. Some may not like it. Also note that the 3 display areas come with a clear plastic protective cover. Don't forget to remove the plastic film to get the brightest possible view of the displays. Pros: - Great way to use radio signals to keep accurate time! All digital clocks must have this function. - The backlight isn't too bright. Other digital watches I've had have been annoyingly bright. However, some customers may want it brighter. - Has 3 "holes" on the back for wall mounting. Use a spirit level to drive 2 or 3 screws into the wall to keep it level. It also has a retractable leg to put it on a table or robe when needed. - I like the day and date displayed. If desired, the room temperature can also be displayed instead of the date. - Uses a replaceable backup battery (2 AA cells - not included). If you lose power, the backlight will turn off, but you can still read the dark display until power is restored. - Nice big display. - Good packaging. Cons: - Difficult to read when viewed at an angle of about 45 degrees off-center, but I can live with that. I would have liked the power cord to be a bit longer. I think it's about 5 meters long. I could see that it takes some people 10 feet to get to the ship. - They cost about 2-3 times more than most Chinese-made non-atomic digital wall clocks, but I'm happy with the price if they maintain their accuracy.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
