Review on Adjustable Aluminum Support Pole System for iCOVER Premium Boat Cover by Dean Wilson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The problem is the plastic base.

Telescoping poles and rounded tips work great. I bought 2. But there is a problem with plastic coasters. They must be rubber to stick to the deck. When I place the poles under my shelter, I find that the cloth lifts slightly in the wind and the pole falls down due to the lack of tension from the shelter. The underside of the base is smooth and lacks traction. I've tried raising the bars to increase tension but the result is the same. I need to add grippy material on the bottom. I removed the lower part of one of the racks and rested in the steering wheel. At least when it slips it doesn't go far and the lid is still taut where it should be. Still working on solving the second pole.

Pros
  • Durable aluminum material. This boat lid support stand is made of rust-resistant, durable aluminum material and the lid and base are made of durable ABS PVC. The durable aluminum pole will not break or bend and is built to last countless nights with the boat cover.
Cons
  • Not sure
