DO NOT LISTEN TO COMMENTS ABOUT A MONITOR THAT ONLY DISPLAYS 60Hz (1440p). You must have a cable rated for the right speed. Most likely, the user is using a cable with a speed of only 10.2 Gbps. If you have purchased this monitor, you will need one of the following cables: Minimum requirements: 1 x HDMI 2.0 or higher (18 Gb/s) cable 1 x DP (DisplayPort) 1.2 or higher (17.28 Gbps) Cable Recommended: 1 x HDMI 2.1 (2.1a also available) (48 Gbps) 1 x DP 2.0 (DisplayPort) (77.36 Gbps) The purchase A good quality cable has many advantages. Not only do you get a higher resolution image, you also get a wider color gamut. Please do a quick Google search to find out how your cable affects quality. NOTE. HDMI 1.4 can "technically" handle 1440p at 144Hz, but you need to enable compression to do that. It is always best to purchase top rated cables for future use. In the long run, you'll save more money by buying a quality cable. You also need to make sure your GPU supports it. If you are using an older GPU, you may not have HDMI 2.0/DP 1.2 or higher support. Please check all of these specifications before purchasing this monitor.
