I used to have one of these stands but it was attached to the back of the laptop and was not adjustable. By the will of fate, I quit my job and removing this thing from a laptop was a chore. After I took it off there was no stick to use on a new work laptop. Enter this device. With this I don't have to worry about the magic wand and now have the option to change the height. It goes well with my laptop. At first I didn't think it would hold up when tapped when lifted at an angle, but it stalled typing and using the trackpad.
