My workout attire consisted mostly of basketball shorts and old baggy t-shirts that were about to be thrown away. I had a relationship with the gym over 20 years ago and athletic wear has become just another accessory to wipe away sweat and collect chalk residue. Eventually, the seams start to fail and baggy clothing becomes uncomfortable as you scrape the barbell against your shins. and hips trying to stay tight. I tend to steer clear of clothing modeled on Instagram because there's no way I would pay $60 for a pair of shorts. Shorts with integrated underwear are sold on Instagram. I finally found these shorts from Anthem. I didn't have high expectations those days, but I was curious to see how my father's body would react to the new painting. I went with the 7" inseam because the 9" felt too long and the 5" felt too risky. Simply put, these shorts are amazing. They're comfortable, stretchy, and the first pair I bought was kept doing multiple squats and deadlifts a week for almost a year.To be clear, I'm 6ft tall and weigh a whopping 215lbs.I'm fairly flexible and need a solid 30 minutes per workout to get these shorts up to maximum range of motion in all directions. To my surprise, they are still holding up. I've actually bought 2 more and can vouch for the quality and consistency of the materials. "Don't write many reviews and you haven't been paid or given anything. I know how hard it is to find genuine reviews for something you have never bought and just want to give credit to a good product. I did notice the stitching on a pair had come undone but it was cosmetic and has does not affect the function of the shorts. The fabrics are not unbreakable, anything will fail sooner or later after sufficient use at a reasonable cost. More importantly, I've been accepted into the gym shorts tribe since Instagram 🤪.
