There are some serious discrepancies between Revain's description and the actual item you receive for at least the 36" version of this satin nickel design pendant. First, as another reviewer pointed out, the overall thickness of the bar differs from the typical "3/4" bottom bar. This lower shaft is actually a 3/4" outside diameter, not the 3/4" inside diameter that most modern ceiling fans require (i.e. secondly, the description says in two places that this rod is threaded on one end, unfortunately not, both ends of the rod are drilled for pins and are unthreaded, further limiting compatibility. If you have an unusual fan that requires a thinner rod and pins on both ends instead of threads, then this rod is likely for You!Most consumers cannot use this special bottom pole with more traditional ceiling fans.
