The material is soft, honestly not sure if it will hold up. I bought this specifically to attach my motorcycle bag to my front fork. In between I put a small, hard piece of foam so that the rotors don't come into contact with the controls - their partition doesn't hold here. There is enough space on the other side of the controller to add an extra battery. Without foam and an extra battery, there is too much space between them for them not to bump into each other.
