Big upgrade over 350D

Most of my thoughts on this case are based on my experience with the Corsair 350D, my computer's former home (i7-7700k with Noctua NH-D15S and GTX 1060), and this consideration is the relevant one Comparison as they are both large MATX cases that prioritize form and build quality. From an aesthetic point of view, Evolv is a winner for me. The 350D has a nice design but is let down by the choice of materials (plastic for the front and body and acrylic for the window), which is to be expected given that this is a 2013 body. As far as noise goes, Evolv is more like that too. I use the same hardware including fans and fan curve profiles. The Evolv is better at blocking out noise. The 350D was good at that, but not that good. I was concerned about the thermals after hearing about problems with some water coolers in this case, but I didn't notice any rise in temperature. In fact, if anything, I experience a slightly better temperature. I attribute this to the fact that on the 350D the bottom of my two front 140mm air intakes were mostly blocked by the HDD and HDD cage, while on the Evolv they were aimed directly at my graphics card and CPU heatsink. This is preferable for me as the 5400 RPM drive used for storage is at the bottom of my cooling priority. Installing the system was easy. This is a large MATX case with multiple fan mounting options and built-in Velcro straps around the standoffs in the motherboard tray. I would like the cutouts on the bottom of the motherboard tray to be longer so that the front panel connectors can be routed through them more cleanly. The 350D had more mounting points, which I appreciated. So far I'm very happy with this case and consider it an upgrade over the Corsair 350D in every way.
