Very handy for charging my 550C Street Pilot at home and not having a dangling cigarette lighter adapter when I want to unplug the device to get out of the car and take it with me The only issue I have is that my device cannot stay charged for more than an hour instead of the expected 8 hours. Also, I don't know how long it actually takes to fully charge it with this power adapter. I got tired of waiting over 25 minutes to speak to a Garmin rep and finally hung up. I have a cigarette lighter adapter with me just in case.
