Great solution. An all-metal construction without the use of plastic for the gear parts, which initially failed. It's simpler and more reliable than the original and works great, saving you $2,300 in dealer fees for needlessly replacing the entire electronic parking brake module. You will need an OBD code reader/actuator to reset the electronic parking brake warning light on the dash, reset the electronic parking brake fault code and reactivate the control module. For this I used a Foxwell NT510 block that came preloaded with BMW coding. Relatively straight work.
