Review on 🔗 J and L Hooks - Pack of 8 by David Gonzalez

Gladiator updated their J&L hooks sometime between September 2018 and February 2019. The biggest change is a stronger lock on top of each hook. I've found the old hooks to tip/shift when I pull heavier or bulky items off them. This update seems to be helping a lot with that as they tend to stay in place more often. Several additional changes have been made to L-Hooks. First, the length of the hooks is about 3/4 inch shorter than the previous version. The new hooks are 4 inches long from the flat plate to the end, while the old version is about 4.75 inches long. Second, something has changed. on the material of the protective cover that is applied to the hook. The new L-Hooks have a slightly textured shell that complements other hooks and accessories in the Gladiator line. The older L hooks have a smooth shell. Overall it was a pleasant surprise. When I received them, I immediately laid out a few in the garage. As an example of where they shine: I hang a small compact miter saw on a project board with a pair of eyebolts on two J-hooks. Before that I had to be careful when lifting the saw and getting it out of the old hooks, otherwise they would have warped a bit in the rail (and was very difficult to align). The new updated hooks stay in place much better. Great update. !
