Review on Yoursme Vehicles Affordable Alternative EL 35616 300 by Trey Ali

Product is missing instructions or manual

I had an apparent problem with the fuel pump on my 2007 Buick. I had to measure the voltage and connect two terminals in the fuel pump relay circuit for diagnostic purposes. The troubleshooting guide I used said that the GM electrical connection test kit should be used to avoid damaging the terminals that the relay is connected to. A cheaper version (this item) was available from Revain. When I received the Yoursme J-35616, TP-300-A, GM Vehicle Clamp Probe Test Kit, I noticed that while there were a few different test leads and connectors in the box, there were no instructions or instructions on how to use them . There were also no specifications for measuring the width (most important dimension) of the end connection (blade) of the test probe, which is to be inserted into the fuel pump receptacle for the measurement. There were different sizes and I had to use a micrometer to determine which one to use (compared to the width of my fuel pump relay connector). I also wanted to put a jumper between the two terminals on the relay socket to provide power directly to the fuel pump. Again, it was noted how safe it is to do so. Finally, there was no amperage data for the smaller test leads, or even for the larger ones. This is important because when you work with fragile and sensitive electronic components and sockets in the car, you have to be very careful. I think a video or small help card giving non-professional mechanics this information would provide a more efficient and safer troubleshooting experience.
