Review on 👞 Men's Hiking Shoes - Salomon X Ultra 3 GTX by Jason Hinrichs

Excellent quality shoes! These sneakers have outlasted several pairs of other brands that I bought locally. They didn't need to be broken in at all, which was perfect as I originally bought them for hiking. The shoes are very durable and have saved my foot several times as they have withstood the abuse of lava rocks, paddocks and sharp rocks. Too bad they don't make gloves because my hands aren't as good as my legs! Also, the lacing system is awesome. The laces didn't affect my purchase decision in any way, but they were a pleasant surprise and will greatly influence my purchase decision. I bought the waterproof version of the shoe and this is the only part that gives me mixed feelings. Due to the use of waterproof materials, the shoes do not "breathe” as much. However, the water resistance works very well with water up to a few centimeters deep. The tongue of the shoe is the weak point here, as water seeps into the inside of the shoe through the sides of the tongue. Once water gets in, it stays there and doesn't dry out as easily due to the same waterproof materials. Overall these are great shoes and the best running shoes I've had at this price point. I will definitely buy Salomon again in the future!
