Got this for my deaf dog to come to me. It works well, being rechargeable saves you an arm and a leg buying dough. I'm not sure how this would work for teaching a dog to stop running away or to chase ethereal animals like cats and chickens, but it works for letting my deaf dog know I want her to come to her senses and yelling at him doesn't work lol. The light on it is really dim and it makes no sense to use it at all. the sound works well, in fact it is not needed, i feel good, my dog does not hear, let me know where he is, as always. The remote control is good and rechargeable too and you can hang it around your neck with a belt/pocket clip which is easy to hang on a hook on the door. I used to have electro shock collars for ethereal dogs, but they had collars and I spent a lot on them. I do not recommend this collar for breeding dogs that require a shock collar.
