One of the best shower caps for long, thick hair. The terrycloth-like lining is designed to keep the hair dryer drier than other shower caps, which is basically what it does. I like this lid more than the others, but it still doesn't work as well as I would like. If I could ever find a shower cap that actually helps airflow without getting wet or too steamy after a shower, I'd be thrilled. The BlowPro hat comes the closest to me, with a few issues: 1. The elastic on them must wear out quickly because while it helps keep my hair drier than some other hats, my hair still gets wet when I use this hat .2. The terry cloth gets wet and becomes so thick that it stays damp and quickly acquires a musty odor. I've tried drying them with a hair dryer after showering, but the plastic part gets too hot when drying. Drying with air or a towel is not enough. I've swapped it out many times for mustiness. Possible hacks and workarounds: I've used cheap disposable treatment caps with my hair wrapped in a clip UNDER that cap, or when I've been hit I actually pin my hair as close to my head as possible, I wrap my head in cling film a THEN put a shower cap over it. My hair is long and thick to mid-back, but I don't think it should be that hard to get a shower cap that keeps water out enough to avoid spending several minutes blow-drying front and back . hair after use. These flaws aside, this is still the shower cap I buy as I can't currently find one that works better. It seems a little pricey for something that isn't quite right. Benefit Cosmetics released one that I really liked (I think the Bathina Kitten line?), but it's been out of production for a long time.
