Don't waste your money

This kit - a real joke. First of all you have to buy most of the "algorithms” and then when I tested PH it just said "LO”. PH is not readable at all. So I thought if I spent $8.99 on a "pool pack" maybe that would actually give me some real PH reading. But no, when I checked the PH again (ten minutes after the first time), it said PH HI. Total joke. When it comes to testing hardness you have to be a chemist to figure out if you need to buy a packet of calcium (which I did for $4.99) but it never showed up on the test list. I then bought the "Calcium" algorithm (another $4.99) and then "Hardness, Overall High" ($4.99) and then "Hardness, Overall Low" ($4.99) - and I did no idea which one actually tests the hardness of the water. The high total hardness showed "HI ppm" and the low total hardness showed "HI ppm" and the calcium was 33 ppm which is only 700 ppm. There are no instructions, no information, and the kit costs hundreds of dollars, and then an extra $30 or more is spent on algorithms that don't give you any facts - just "HI" or "LO" which gives you absolutely nothing to work with . , general.

Pros
  • ✔INCLUDED TEST DETECTION RANGE: Total Alkalinity: 10-200ppm--- pH: 6.4-8.4ppm--- Free Chlorine (DPD-1): 0.0-12.0ppm-- - Combined/Total Chlorine (DPD-3): 0.0-12.0ppm--- Calcium Hardness: 20-700ppm--- Cyanuric Acid: 3-110ppm
Cons
  • Doesn't work
