As I hope you can see from the photos, I needed this product for several doors, one of which had a gap of about 1 1/4 inches at the bottom when opened. This is also a heavy door so I need something strong that also won't slip like a piece of hard plastic. These doorstops are actually very strong but are a bit soft to avoid scratching surfaces. and therefore (although I was skeptical and bought two for this one door) only one of them holds that heavy spring-loaded door in the picture.Since we also have a doormat there it's even easier to keep the door open when we want it . Also, without even asking me for anything, the seller emailed me to let me know that the product has a lifetime guarantee and I simply must email if I am ever unsatisfied with the product in the future am. I don't think I will ever need this service but it was certainly a nice gesture and the outstanding customer service that accompanied this superb product!
