I got this to help my husband keep warm. He loves the feel and is a big fan of the pattern, which looks less sharp and less vibrant than the photos. It's quite heavy and warm, but at the same time quite soft. We usually put them on top of the top sheet and summer comforter (and under the dog sheet), but it also helps keep the number of washes to a minimum. Like so much else, it's made in China. So if you're against it, I think you can always freeze it. :-) We like it because it serves its purpose and is practical. I will update this if we run into any issues.
