At least in my case. Now I use it in a city apartment and the situation with the humidity sensor does not change. Before that, I had the cheapest mechanically regulated humidifier on a smart plug - I set it to automatic on / off at night and forgot about it for a week until the water ran out. In fact, I use this Xiaomi humidifier in the same way: I set the humidification intensity, the timer for the night and forgot. There is no difference between the previous complex (with a smart socket), but why pay more then? What really is a plus: it's a minimalist design and a temperature sensor in the room :) Noisy! Those. I'm not talking about gurgling, but about work - this is audible, but on the previous complex with a cheap humidifier, the noise of work was not heard. It doesn’t really interfere, it’s not a vacuum cleaner, but when compared, there are models that are quieter. In general, on the market you can get the same functionality for 2 times cheaper. There is a fee for the ecosystem, brand, design, and, well, a temperature sensor. As I said, do not count on the humidity sensor at all. Probably, if you buy an independent sensor from the same smart home ecosystem and put it at the other end of the room, then auto-humidification by humidity will work. I put 4, but in fact it is 4 with a minus.
