Review on Revo VRS Multi W Wireless Multi Interface Camcorders by Steve Brethorst

3 Sony cameras launched at the same time!

I have 2 Sony RX100 M5 and 1 Sony RX10 M4. These cameras feature Sony's High Frame Rate feature, which allows you to record around 7-second clips at 480 or 960 fps. With the HFR function, you can run and record the next 7 seconds or the last 7 seconds. In this case I wanted to run all 3 cameras simultaneously and get the last 7 seconds from 3 angles. I bought 3 Revo VRS Multi-W units and used all three receivers and only one of the triggers. You need to sync them with each other, by turning on the transmitter and holding down the record button. Turn on each receiver while still holding the record button on the transmitter. Then release the record button. At this point, a transmitter activates three receivers. Revo's customer service rep told me not to expect all 3 cameras to fire at the exact same time, for example all 3 videos start in the same frame. For my purposes, the difference, if any, is trivial. I always sync standard frame rate movies in PowerDirector using Sync on Audio. that I shouldn't expect all 3 cameras to be triggered at the exact same time, for example all 3 videos start in the same frame. Pros
  • EASY TO COMPOSE OBJECTS IN THE FRAME WITH GRID SWITCH, align shots and create brighter compositions
