Okay, look, the furniture is chipboard. I don't know what those bad reviews were expecting, but for the material used to create it, it's amazing. And no, it does NOT take forever to assemble. Have you ever worked with a hammer and screwdriver? Then congratulations, you are fully qualified to put this together in 40 minutes or less. I have ordered a few from this company and the company is great. If you REALLY have any problems, they take care of it immediately for free. Seriously, ignore bad reviews. Is it high quality solid wood? Of course not, but it's definitely the next best thing. Bonus: If you are a crafty person and love to make home decor, the packaging used for this is the PERFECT crafting material.
