I'm not a professional vlogger and I have no intention of commercializing my videos. I was looking for a simple portable mount/stand for us for my iPhone Xs MAX. I wanted to be able to create videos that are smooth and easy to watch. Something that would be difficult to accomplish just by holding the phone. I was looking through many gimbal mounts/stands and came across this one. The price was good and reviews were generally positive. One thing I did that the reviews recommended was to follow the instructions, especially when using it for the first time. I haven't and haven't had any of the weird jitters that some of the others who have commented have experienced. Without going into the details of actual operation, I can say that the gimble worked smoothly and without any errors on the heavier iPhone Xs Max. The app was easy to install and managed the necessary functions of the phone without any problems. Overall, operations like zooming were actually easier and smoother than trying to do it from the phone's screen, and the pan, tilt, and tracking functions worked great. Battery life seems good, but I haven't used it for videotag yet, so I can't say I've fully tested it. I think the only two downsides I have is that the MAX is difficult to mount on the mount. I seem to have reached the size limit it needs. But once it is safe and properly balanced. The other downside is that it feels big, but this is my first time using an iPhone pointing arm, so maybe it is. I used them on big cameras and of course they were huge. But the cameras were the same! One note: the MAX doesn't work with a protective case, so I had to take the phone out of the outer box. My daughter has an iPhone 6 in an Outerbox Defender and the phone fits. Just a note. I recommend this gimble for those who are looking for the best videos from their mobile phones and even for vloggers who need to invest in professional or semi-professional equipment.
