So far I've only used this to extend the speaker wiring I ran under the carpet where the AV receiver stack was. I moved it to a new location (10). feet to the right - the other side of the front speakers) and didn't want to fight the carpet again, so I just "extended" the rear speaker wiring with these things. So far so good, I haven't cut anything, I'll update if the connections don't hold.
