I had a small 1/4 inch hole that was starting to tear noticeably. I washed the glass with alcohol before applying either of the two pieces of tape used to attach the windshield. Due to the extreme angle of my windshield (2010 Kia Soul) I would suggest placing the damage closer to the bottom radius of the tape. You need to apply enough epoxy to fill in the damaged area and then some! As the instructions say, once you've reached this stage of the repair, don't press too hard. Duct tape won't take undue pressure and you'll end up with a mess on your windshield! Overall he did a fantastic job and the repairs are barely noticeable. I will definitely use this product/method when needed!
