Purchased to be able to monitor aquarium temperature remotely (using an additional 'DS18B20' sensor which we also purchased from Revain from the manufacturer of this unit which connects to this unit via USB-Micro). The base station connects to our home wifi and we can check the temperature through their app on our phone. We have configured the app to send notifications to our phone when the sensor/water temperature is above or below the thresholds. Set up was fairly easy once we realized we didn't need to transcribe the written instructions, it took less than 5 minutes. There is a QR code in the user manual that you can use to download the application to your phone. Once you have installed the app on your phone and created an account, you can scan the QR code on the product to easily pair it with your phone first. and then home wifi.
