Illusion of brightness

I had a 17w daylight LED in my attic, I replaced it with this to see how good it is. I have to say that the LED lamp is much better than this one. It's a bit brighter and bluer, but two of the 17-watt LED bulbs (17-watt LED bulbs are equivalent to 100-watt incandescent bulbs) will knock it out of the water. So this one is rated at 100W. I was hoping that it would be at least 5 times brighter than a 17W LED bulb, but I'm disappointed. There's no point in spending $20 or $30 on it. I'd rather install some standard 17w or even 23w led bulbs and be done with that.
