After I securely attached the magnetic plate to the back of my iPhone 8 and placed it on the mount, my phone fell and the back of the phone broke. Apparently the magnetic plate comes off the back of the phone easily at the first bump in the road >:-(Save yourself time and hassle by buying a mounting unit instead of a magnetic plate which will damage your $700 phone. !
