Ordered primarily for dog hair on hardwood and porcelain tiles. And I sweep crumbs off the kitchen floor on a daily basis (I have a sweeper that I love, but it's getting harder and harder to find XL nozzles for it. Not to mention it's hard to sweep up accumulated dog hair, blow it away), and I chase them around the room) I also have some low pile floor mats that I use them on. Most of the time, the power saving mode works fine. I only switch to high power when working with carpets or in places where a lot of dog hair has accumulated, like in corners or along the edges of walls. But after those places I switch it back to low power. It copes well with carpets and eliminates the need to pull out a large vacuum cleaner. Switching power levels is easy, literally by pressing a button on the fly. Emptying the canister is easy, with just another push of a button. Last night I tried it all over the kitchen and in the hallway by the front door on high wattage just to see how long the battery lasted. I vacuumed non-stop for about 10-15 minutes, and the battery gauge didn't even drop halfway. I will not use it for my carpeted stairs, living room or bedroom. The full-size vacuum still fits into those areas, and I'm not even sure if it's advertised as being able to do a whole house with mid-pile carpets. First of all, it is a hard floor vacuum cleaner. So don't get frustrated by frustrated people's feedback that it doesn't have enough power to vacuum an entire house. Get a regular vacuum cleaner. It's more than enough to do the job I got it for, nothing more. The only thing I would change is to attach the charging plug to the wall mount so that when plugged in it automatically locks into the vacuum and starts charging. Like now, hang the vacuum, then pull the cord and plug it into the top of the vacuum. So you've got this ugly cord draped over the vacuum cleaner.
