I ordered this in February 2016 and received three - one blonde and two brunettes (I'm a brunette so that's good). The clip itself is metal which is nice and feels like it will last a while. I haven't given up on it yet, but after watching a few YouTube videos and experimenting, I found it very handy. tight and bites into my scalp no matter what angle I try to insert (bottom, top, side). I couldn't find a way to wear this that isn't painful and gives me a headache. My hair is medium length, medium thick, curly, coarse, in longer layers. I have no problem clipping it together with other pieces - even some where I only use "one" piece (although with my layered hair it's useful in some cases to use extra pins/clips). I liked the concept of a single bobby pin - it would help look like a French twist - and will continue to try to find a method of using this pin that is painless. Obviously this works well for some people - so either they don't have headaches that are as painful, they don't have headaches, or they may have more hair to work with, so a "pulling" is happening to their hair, not their scalp.
