They are durable, seal well and are affordable. I'm sure they will be of great use. PROS: ** great value **, well made, high quality ** hermetic seal! ** The base design is convenient for storage. Containers should be placed close together - all containers are also about the same height - the stronger locking clasp makes up for the inconvenience. If you're not already doing this with your containers as soon as you buy them, you really should start doing so. It's pretty easy. I poured water into each container and then sealed them. Then I turned her over and shook her. Then I placed a rep upside down on a piece of tissue paper for a couple of hours. NONE of them leaked! COMPARISON: (see image) I compared one of the bowls to Pyrex and Anchor Hocking glass containers of the same size. The 1790 container is thinner and lighter than Pyrex and Anchor containers. Whether that's good or bad is subjective. The thinner glass would have me thinking it might shatter if it fell 3ft onto grass (actually it broke my water bottle). However, thinner glass can be nice since it's not as heavy to carry. TOTAL: They are very good and will of course last a long time. Are they the best ever made? Maybe not, I'm not rich enough to tell you. Are they very good and of great value? Absolutely. I highly recommend it and hope to have good use of it for many years to come.
