Initial setup of this device was very simple: unpack and read the accompanying literature. The packaging was excellent, with custom foam inserts that weren't "too over the top" to be bulky. I used this in the guest room after cleaning the room thoroughly. A guest stayed for 2 nights and found the room very fresh. I had the air purifier on low for a white noise effect, the dehumidifier was on and the humidity was over 50%. Because it's so easy to move around and after our guest left I put it in our bedroom. Now, when I enter the bedroom, I immediately notice the freshness of the room, although all the windows are closed because of the winter cold and there is steam and odors in the adjoining bathroom. The tank is small, but I particularly like the "Full Tank" indicator and the automatic shut-off. The tank was full in 3-4 days. Removing the tank and emptying it is not difficult either. There was no unpleasant desiccant smell in the water. The water in the tank was very clean and clear. The literature stated that the HEPA filter had to be changed after about 6 months. I haven't noticed any impact on our electricity consumption, which I monitor closely with the SENSE device in our electrical service panel. After this first winter of use I will consider buying at least one more unit. At this point I couldn't be happier with this purchase!
