An enrichment for apartment-style living!

This is one of the best things I've ever bought for my apartment! My situation: There is an apartment next to mine that shares our balcony while my own is on the top floor. Stairs to the balcony from the first floor. My neighbor often had guests and they looked in my window (and my apartment) every time they went up or down the stairs. I don't think they were trying to be rude but at the same time I didn't like it and didn't want to keep my blinds closed all the time. In one day I stuck this film on all the windows. From the incident side, it looks like looking into a mirror, and the brighter the light source, the greater the effect. My apartment is visible from the outside and I see a reflection and cannot see outside, but I still pull the blinds down at night. It also reduces the amount of light entering my apartment during the day, so my apartment is a bit darker. This should also reduce sun damage to the indoor furniture and the very next day I noticed that the back of my sofa wasn't getting warm from the sun as usual. It also makes my apartment cooler during the summer months - maybe a few degrees. Installation requires a certain amount of patience, but please note that I installed this all by myself without outside help. This product DOES NOT INCLUDE INSTALLATION MATERIALS (i.e. squeegee, pruning shears, application spray) which cost around $8 at the time of writing this item. As recommended, spray *very* liberally when applying the film. This greatly simplifies the use of a squeegee to remove air bubbles. That being said, I've enjoyed my privacy for the last four years and haven't had any issues with the window film fading or peeling. Just remember that you should cut it a few millimeters from the edges of the window pane and don't expect it to be "flush".
