Feels great but the attachment idea failed

I have chronic back pain and use the original Bed Buddy. I've been using it for over 10 years and have never had any problems. Both buddies have some kind of rice or barley or something in there. When heated, it doesn't smell very nice to some people, but I don't think it stinks. To be honest I like it, it calms my feelings. Maybe because I associate this scent with warm back pain relief. So, until recently, I decided I needed one that I could use while being mobile and hands-free. When I saw this friend's bed I thought how comfortable and simple it is. Because until I found this one, I had my original mate strapped to my back with a back brace, but to put it on I had to lay my brace on the bed, place my mate on top of it, and then put it on top of both and then fasten it for you. While this buddy looks pretty self-explanatory, there are no instructions on how to buckle the strap, no FAQ to answer questions. However, the label attached to the Buddy has instructions for heating and cleaning. They had a great idea with this product, but didn't execute it properly. You have a buddy bed the size of a headboard (17" x 7.5"), one side has an elastic strap (26" long and 2" wide) and the other side has some sort of D-ring . The belt should be fastened with Velcro. At the end of the strap is a 2" x 2" velcro strap. Well, my first thought was to thread the strap through the D-ring, pull and fold it, and then press the velcro against the strap, but it doesn't stick to the strap. So I had to pull it tighter to attach it to the blue buddy, it fit but as it was a bit tight I figured it might not be right because I'm a bit skinny and I figured there is neither , in this case is not suitable for everyone, since a larger person is more likely to suffocate. Instead of bending over, I tried just threading the strap through the D-ring, then across my back and pressing it against Buddy. It was shaky and felt wrong. The buddy side of the strap held securely against my back, but the D-ring side was loose and when I moved (up and down from a chair or walking) it slipped over the ring and I had to pull and pull the ring to put it back in place. I have included photos showing 2 different assembly methods so you can see what I mean. I'm leaving this as I like that this buddy is taller and has great back coverage. I'll probably sew a velcro loop onto the belt so I can attach it in the "folded way" as that was the most secure and I felt even warmth all over my back. Too bad they didn't do it the first time. Place.
