Works great in the Mac Pro silver case. Installation time 60 seconds.

Perfect and quiet operation. It's formatted for Windows, but when I turned on my Mac Pro it was recognized immediately and in about 30 seconds the Mac formatted the drive to the more efficient HFS+ (macOS). The performance is excellent. The packaging for these discs is top notch. The WD units come with end brackets and each drive also comes in a separate box. Discs are sealed and individually labeled on both the disc and the Mylar vacuum bag. In terms of performance, they are great! They are similar to the WD Black in terms of speed and performance. Actually like this one over the black series. Just as fast, but much quieter and more durable. Something to consider regarding warranties from ANY hard drive manufacturer. Do you really want to claim the guarantee? Suppose the drive has failed. Do you really want to send all your data to someone else? In my many years at WD I've never had a crash so I've never had to deal with this issue. I think this drive is a good choice if you need something reliable. Keep in mind, though, that I bought my very first hard drive around 1984, a 5MB (5 megabytes) for $1,700, so all drives seem cheap compared to the early days.
