This toaster looks good and says it all. I throw it away after only 5 months of use and have only used it a couple of times a month. My bread was toasted on one side from the start. I've learned to just live with it. It then started burning my toast when it was on the same setting I've always used for medium toasts. I had to start on the lowest setting to get a medium toast. It now smells like burnt plastic when in use. I've looked into it and couldn't find any obvious cause and I don't take chances with stuff like this and I don't like smelling like burnt plastic when I'm making breakfast or any other time. It wasn't worth the money and I certainly wouldn't buy this brand again.
