Three times the price of much better options

After getting a couple of IVISII panels that I'm very happy with, I decided to try Lumecube for the functionality of the app, and to be honest be, I realized it costs three times as much, there's a good reason for that Spoiler: no Design On arrival the difference in design was obvious. The Lumecube is thinner and lighter, but not for the better. In comparison, it's just cheaper and more vulnerable than IVISII. The Lumecube hardware control features a power button and dial. While IVISII is equipped with two rotary controls and one slide switch, making it much easier, more reliable and intuitive to use. While Lumecube advertises a "color" LCD screen, it adds absolutely no value. The Lumecube's one-knob controls are pretty counterintuitive, and after using IVISII for the first time, it feels like a huge step backwards. Huge plus for hardware that doesn't work but costs 3x as much. AppAlthough IVISII doesn't have an app, it's still an asset. The Lumecube app looks like it was completed in a single weekend by an engineering student who worked on the Mountain Dew case. The entire UX is terrible, difficult to manage and full of spelling mistakes. Attempting to pick a color is next to impossible due to the extremely poor execution. This amounts to an application that is basically useless. Don't take my word for it - check out the 1.5 star rating. Random functionality nobody asked for. Both panels have basically the same random selection of useless lighting effects. It's basically a lighter version of those crappy presets on an old Casio keyboard. Interesting to include. It's even more fun to turn it off forever. Final Verdict. The crappy effects pull back the curtain on the Lumecube to reveal that it's basically the same LED panel as other competitors, with a broken app that costs three times more money than better clones. I take my hat off to Lumecube. the guy who's probably making the fuss. But with the IVISII outperforming the Lumecube at every turn, there's literally no reason to spend triple the cost on a low-quality product.
