Decent yield from cocktails/flowers, not suitable for dry sifting

Yield 13% from the neck, 18% from the flowers. Not enough pressure to deal with dry screening which was a little disappointing. Get at least a five-ton pneumatic press if you plan on pressing dryer screens into rosin. However, I am very happy with the colors that come out, and shake them with a folded large Kitzini silicone baking mat. (The thickness of the mat must be at least 0.75mm). You'll get a full recovery using a baking mat versus parchment paper. It's actually a plus that this press doesn't have so much pressure that it tears the baking sheet. I press the flowers at 220 to 250 degrees F for 2-5 minutes. First, I quickly dunk the filter bags in ice water to maximize yield. I found that the platen temperature is actually slightly lower than what the display shows when I tested it with a temperature gun. So don't be afraid to go down to 250f to get the performance you want. I finally settled on 230f as the optimal pressing temperature for flowers/cocktails with this press. A small amount of black dust formed on the impeller after the first two uses, but it is easy to remove. The dust won't sink far enough to contaminate the folded baking mat, so this isn't a big problem. It would probably be nice if the crankshaft was lightly lubricated. Generally, strong B+. This results in a very clean and tasty end product.

Pros
  • EASY TO USE: Powerful manual heat press with strong pressing force of up to 5000 - 5500 pounds; Simply turn the knob clockwise and the pressure can be built up and held there until you turn it counterclockwise once the print is complete. There is no noise or oil leakage at all.
Cons
  • Some little things
