These comfy socks are made from 70% cotton. Perfect thickness for me. I usually wear them with boots, but I also like wearing them with regular shoes. I prefer them with medium thickness. The elastic stays on my calves with no problems. They aren't tight but offer a slight amount of compression. Enough to keep them where they need to be all day without squeezing my legs or leaving marks on my feet.
