When I switched from hitch to roof mount I had to throw the front wheel in the back of the truck. Since most trips are dual use, this meant the tire was riding alongside camping gear, dog supplies, food, clothing, tents, etc. Something inevitably got stuck on the spoke and bent it. When you go to a race how do you expect to do your best with a bent spoke?!?!
